Saturday Night at Mission Street Food (Plus Charitable Links)

It's been a while since we checked in with the ever-popular Mission Street Food, and not always for lack of trying -- sometimes it's simply too busy to accomodate. But that's a wonderful thing, because MSF has successfully been donating its profits to charity each week since the beginning of the year, and has supported the following organizations so far:

• UNICEF's Tap Project
• St. Anthony's Foundation
• The Food Pantry
• C.H.E.F.S.
• Dolores Street Community Services
• Charity: Water
• Youth Meal at the LGBT Center
• Groceries for Seniors
• Glide Meals Program
• Project Open Hand
• 826 Valencia
• La Cocina

Saturday night's profits will be donated to the Alemany Farm and Oakland Food Connection and the menu will feature the creations of Nopa chefs Corey Nead, Richie Nakano, and Amy Marietta Brown (check the official Web site for the menu). Service begins at 6 p.m. until they run out and takes place at Lung Shan (2234 Mission).
