This Thursday night's edition of
Mission Street Food will be
Fan Appreciation Night and will feature some popular favorites from this dining experiment's ever-changing menu. This gives us a great opportunity to show some photos of what are now considered MSF classics.
The Fan Appreciation menu includes the PB&J pictured above (a flatbread piled with Kurobuta pork belly, jicama, jalapenos and cilantro aioli) as well as the VSF Rice (smoked rice fried in olive oil with shiitake, cauliflower and tofu tempura; also available in duck variety) and the cheesesteak (aged Angus ribeye, pasilla chiles, caramelized onion, oyster mushroom, and melted cheese on an Acme roll). There's also the option to splurge on a decadent brownie paired with Brillat-Savarin cheese and toasted hazelnut.
Profits from this evening will be donated to
Meals on Wheels of San Francisco. No reservations are taken at the cash-only MSF, but it's advisable to get there early as lines tend to form even before service starts at 6 p.m. at Lung Shan (2234 Mission).
