Introducing. . . BaconCamp!

Following in the footsteps of CupcakeCamp and its (non-food) predecessor BarCamp, BaconCamp is the next trendy stomach ache waiting to happen. (Which, of course, means SFoodie will be there to brave the vulture-like crowds.)

There's ample time to dream up a crazy bacon concoction to enter into consideration for judging (categories include "Best Presentation, "Most Creative" and "Most likely to convert a veggie"). Alternatively, you can simply show up and gorge on bacon until you're dizzy. Heaven help the arteries of those who aren't scared to attend BaconCamp on Saturday, March 21 from 1-5 p.m. at 500 3rd Street, Suite 510. Admission is free, but organizers will collect $5-10 sliding scale donations to benefit -- wait for it! -- the American Heart Association.
