Why I bought it: Miette offers several flavors of Mehlenbacher's and they looked so pretty all lined up together. The family-owned company has made hand-pulled taffy for more than a century, so it seemed like a safe bet.

Tasting notes: The taffy comes in big sticks, which is really more than one human would want to consume in one sitting. Tear little pieces off and it will last you a good while. While there are many brands of taffy that are really hard to chew, this is much softer and easier to manage, though it is also very sticky. The vanilla flavor is nice and subtle.

Would I buy it again?
No. I'd like to, but don't think the teeth would appreciate it.

What other blogs/sites thought of it:
Splendora says, "absolutely delish."
