Blogging about his trip to New York last week, MB wraps up his
report on Corton, a new place from Drew Nieporent (who last year closed Rubicon, his SF restaurant, partly because, as MB previously reported,
he couldn't mark wine up as much here as he can in New York), by saying, "The best deal is the price: the three-course menu is $79, a real bargain in New York ..." Really? A
bargain? Even compared with, for example, Wu Liang Ye on 48th, where you can feed two or three people for that money?
