Bay Area Bites from the Fancy Food Show: Clairesquares' Milk Chocolate Shortbread Artisan Squares

 These have a mouthful of a name and an even more substantial bite. The signature product of San Francisco's Clairesquares comes from Irish ex-pat Claire Keane's homeland and are called, as she informs on her Web site, "Wellington squares in Ireland and Millionaire's shortbread in Great Britain." They're too rich for some, but definitely not for us. Find them at S.F. stores including Bi-Rite (3639 18th St.), Faletti Foods (308 Broderick) and Avedano's Holly Park Market (235 Cortland Ave.).
