Bay Area Bites from the Fancy Food Show: Silver Moon Desserts

Silver Moon Desserts infuses liqueur into its line of ice cream and sorbet flavors. We were knocked out by the Pomegranate Martini and Mango Mimosa. Both were light, delicate, and full of flavor, without overpowering the palate with alcohol. Silver Moon is served by various Bay Area restaurants. The company, based in Los Gatos, hoped to find some San Francisco-based retail partners at the Fancy Food Show, so keep an eye out for it on local shelves. But, for now, we might just have to make a special stop for it next time we're in the South Bay, where it's carried at Zanotto's Family Market (1988 Naglee Ave., San Jose) and Gene's Fine Foods (18850 Cox Ave., in Saratoga).
