I Am Shocked: SFist Readers Vote to Kill the Gratitude

Our friends over at SFist have just announced the "winners" of their "Wish You Were Dead Pool," for which they asked readers about San Francisco institutions that they'd like to kill for the new year. While the clear front-runner is the Church of Scientology, we were surprised to see Café Gratitude (1336 9th Ave) in second place, followed closely by Medjool (2522 Mission), Yelp (which isn't surprising) and PlumpJack (3127 Fillmore). Medjool, incidentally, was also recently named the "Douchiest Bar" by EaterSF, so it is just racking up the dubious honors for the year. -- Tamara Palmer
