Chocolate Seizure Set to Shake Up Wine and Chocolate World

S.F. custom wine maker Crushpad will collaborate with fellow locals TasteTV, hosts of Chocolate Television and the San Francisco International Chocolate Salon, to create a red wine intended to be chocolate's next favorite BFF. The limited edition Domaine de Taste Amerique: Chocolate Seizure 2008 will be formulated using cues from feedback that will be gathered from the public at Chocolate Seizure, to be held on September 11 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Crushpad. Artisan chocolatiers such as Oakland's Coco Delice and S.F. newcomer Jade Chocolates will be on hand to provide the sweets.The $40 admission includes a reserved bottle of the wine once it becomes available, and all the tasting one can manage. -- Tamara Palmer
