Oceanic Dinners @ Oliveto This Week

Attention seafood lovers: Starting this Wednesday, June 11, and running through Saturday, June 14, Oakland's excellent Oliveto (5655 College Ave. at Shafter) is throwing a series of Oceanic Dinners to showcase some of the fresh fish being caught locally at the Monterey Fish Market. And holy crap, some of this year's new dishes sound absolutely food-gasmic: A hangtown fry omelet crepe -- a classic San Francisco golf rush omelet with oysters and bacon; Potato gnocchi with tiny Tomales Bay mussels; and maybe the most bizarre dish on the menu: Green sea urchin flan.
