$5 Wine Tasting This Friday @ The Jug Shop

After recommending that pricey $350-a-pop Italian dinner and wine tasting at Acquerello a few days ago, I am happy to take it down a notch price-wise and tip you off to a much more affordable wine tasting (alas, no dinner this time: you'll have to grab a slice of pizza) coming up this Friday, June 6, at The Jug Shop (1590 Pacific at Polk). Elaine Villamin of Eden Canyon Vineyards will be on hand pouring a selection of their 2005 vintages including "Estate" Cabernet Sauvignon, "Reserve" Cabernet Sauvignon, and a "Jolie" Bordeaux style blend -- all for the low, low tasting fee of $5. 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. For more info. call 885-2922.
