Uncorked! Ghiradelli Square Wine Festival This Saturday

If you ever needed any proof that the folks behind this Sunday's Ghiradelli Square Wine Festival know how to party, look no further: an afternoon devoted to solely to quaffing vino from over three dozen different wineries, and just to seal the deal, a supremely phallic logo to illustrate the name of the festival "Uncorked!" Maybe it's just me, but something about the angle of the "bottle" and the festive splurge of curlicues just screams double entendre. In any case, go drink and be merry. There's a pastry demo by none other than Marisa Churchill, Top Chef season 2 contestant and current pastry chef at Yoshi's San Francisco, a wine/food pairing seminar by wine writer Courtney Cochran, and a "sensory wine class" with Cellar360 sommelier Tom Capo. Tasting tickets are $40 in advance; $45 at the door. For info. and tickets visit www.ghirardellisq.com.
