For all the Food Network junkies out there: Alton Brown, the king of all food nerds, host of Iron Chef America and the compulsively watchable Good Eats, will host Cooking for Solutions 2008 at the Monterey Bay Aquarium this May. Starting with a Friday gala event (May 16) you'll be able to snack and drink with the fishes (note: no swimming) as a ton of local restaurants and wineries represent, among them Chez Panisse, Hog Island Oyster Company, and the fittingly named Hobo Wine Company. Saturday and Sunday follow suit with a veritable orgy of wine, hors d'oeuvres, and celebrity chefs -- all of it tied to the concept of sustainable cooking and eating. (via Ideal Bite)
