Summertime is quickly approaching, and you know what that means: backyard barbecue. And while sucking smokey ribs on a creaky the lawn chair may be a national past time, here in the Bay Area we do things a little differently: behold Funk N Chunk full-service hip-hop catering. The edible mix includes everything from bourbon-coffee pulled pork (sold!) to "bleu cheese and mustard butter stuffed Niman Ranch steaks" (holy god) -- not to mention all kinds of game meat including buffalo, ostrich, and venison. Similarly, Funk N Chunk's musical menu runs a pretty wide gamut too. Get a taste for yourself:

Every Monday at Underground SF (424 Haight Street, at Fillmore)
Funk N Chunk DJs spin rap, mash-ups, hyphy and funk from 10 to 2
$1 beers ALL NIGHT; sweet sound system and dance floor

Every Friday at Danny Coyle's Irish Pub (668 Haight Street, at Pierce)
Funk N Chunk DJs spin rap, mash-ups, hyphy and funk from 10 to 2
Cocktail specials, leather couches, horny yuppies, and the cleanest bathrooms on lower haight!
No Cover / 21+
