Those crazy cats over at the Salt Lake Tribune apparently value sadism highly, since they subjected a slew of local chefs to a Military Meal-Ready-To-Eat (MRE) taste test. As a military kid, I've had my run ins with MREs over the years, so I can vouch for the taste, or lack thereof. Note the easy listening muzak in the background of the clip above. It really sets the scene nicely. As the Trib puts it "The political mantra of the day is 'nothing but the best for our troops.'" (via Serious Eats)
