Saigon Sandwiches' Bánh Mì Named One Of America's Best

saigon_sandwich.jpg

One of my favorite sandwiches in San Francisco has been shortlisted by Esquire Magazine as one of the Best Sandwiches in America. I've reported on the exquisite Bánh Mì at Saigon Sandwiches in the Tenderloin before -- as just about every food section in town has at some point or another -- and it's nice to see some national attention for what is, if not the greatest sandwich in town (I'm talking to you Ted's), most definitely the best deal: $2.50.

It's hard to believe you can still get something so great for so little money, and with all the attention, I wouldn't be surprised to see the price go up. So get 'em while they're still cheap. Shit, get a dozen of them.
