Vegetarian Apocalypse Survival Tips

I imagine this list of tips on how vegetarians can survive a disaster without partaking of the flesh will be of particular interest in the Bay Area, with our penchant for earthquakes and our concentration of non-meat eaters. So get those disaster kits up to snuff and make some room:

"canned beans and bean-based soups, tetrapak soup (Imagine), individual packs of soymilk, vegan (Clif) energy bars and crackers. SELECT LOW-SODIUM ITEMS, AS YOUR DIET MAY CONSIST ENTIRELY OF THESE FOODS ... One could add dried fruits, tea, favorite cereal, premade tea, etc. "Treats" for bargaining would also be good."
