So Awesome: Larva Chocolate With Dried Squid!
Beetle larva chocolate, known as Youchu Choco, is a popular candy in Japan, made by Komatsuya Bakery, and they sound fantastic. From Pink Tentacle:
"a grub-shaped body make from milk chocolate and corn flakes, a layer of skin made from white chocolate, legs made from tiny strips of dried squid, and a dainty mouth made from orange peel."
But the sweet larval goodness doesn't stop with the chocolate: Komatsuya also makes equally great-looking larva candy. The best part is that you can buy them online, though it would help if I spoke Japanese. (via Laughing Squid)
