Dine About Town And The Restaurant Week 'Clusterfuck'

It's the time of year again when Restaurant Week(s) sprout up in many food-obsessed cities across the country including here in San Francisco (Dine About Town), and Gridskipper's Amanda Kludt is drawing a line in the sand with a conveniently numbered rant entitled "Why I Hate Restaurant Week"
While it's hard to see what could be so bad about a bunch of hoity-toity eateries setting two weeks worth of affordable prix fixe menus to draw work-a-day slobs out of their TGI Friday's-induced comas, Kludt does raise some valid points about the culinary to-do. Most notably "Waiter Hostility":
"Restaurants serve their regular menus along with the prix fixe and obviously favor patrons who will shell out for the real deal. I'm not just projecting here. The waiters want the bigger tips from the higher-ticket items, and unless the place is usually empty, they resent your cheap-ass presence."
