San Francisco Voted Fourth Best U.S. City for 2013
Ever feel like you're just not good enough? Like it doesn't matter that you lost the extra pounds and plucked those brows.
Can't relate? Well you must be from Portland, Atlanta, or Seattle then, because San Francisco knows the sting of feeling inadequate all too well.
The folks at Movoto Real Estate released their end-of-the-year report and ranked San Francisco as the fourth best city in America. Fourth. We'd make a witty remark but right now that seems like wasted energy if in the end we're just -- fourth.
Was it something we did? Movoto decided to dig through their most popular studies of the last year and rank all major U.S. cities in accordance with their findings. San Francisco had more first-place finishes than any other metropolitan city in the top 10.
Were we not funny enough? Perhaps, because we came in second for humor.
Were we not chic enough? Can't be, because we came in first for style.
So did you not the like the restaurants? Impossible, because we came in first for cuisine.
So then it must be our brains, right? We're not smart enough? Is that it? But we came in fourth for IQ.
Well, what then? We're also number one for prep, second for steampunk, and the third most exciting city in the U.S. How did S.F. come in fourth place?
Clearly something is off here because we're an amazing city. But -- apparently we're not family friendly enough and have poor home ownership skills.
You know what? Fine. At the end of the day we're still San Francisco and we make fourth place look good. Take that, Portland.
