Lost & Found: Davy Rothbart Comes to San Francisco & Shares Your Trash

Found Magazine

One person's trash is another person's meal ticket.

Davy Rothbart has made a career of curating and publishing people's discarded love letters, to-do lists and birthday cards. This led to the creation of Found Magazine, the release of his acclaimed memoir, My Heart is an Idiot and most recently a 20-city tour where he'll share the latest finds in paper napkin poetry and Post-it apologies.

Found Magazine's Unfinished Business Tour comes to San Francisco on Thursday, Oct. 10 at JCC-SF Arts & Ideas. Rothbart will offer a rare glimpse into the innermost thoughts of unsuspecting people and read standout submissions that have made their way to the Found headquarters.

Who knows. Maybe your forgotten break-up letter makes into the show along with someone else's grocery list reminder to pick up diapers. There's only one way to find out.

Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door; 8 p.m. at JCC-SF (3200 California).
