San Francisco Voted Ultimate "Pride City" by Gay Travelers

San Francisco might not be gay enough for Oakland, but when it comes to travel destinations, S.F. is still No. 1 in the ol' U.S. of Gay.
GayCities, the world's largest LGBT community-driven city guide, recently announced the winners in its annual Best of GayCities 2012, and San Francisco nabbed not one but two distinctions.

Winners were divided into six categories, and San Francisco won
the title of "Pride City" and "Scenic City." Napa/Sonoma was also a runner-up in the "Food and Wine" category.
Despite the recent anti-gay marriage hullabaloo, Paris took the top slot in the contest as the most
selected destination by gay travelers to have their "dream voyage."
Other distinctions went to:
New York for "The City that Never Sleeps," which is hardly an award, in our opinion, and more of a generic description. That'd be like if we won an award for "The City with Two Bridges."
And Provincetown took "Best Beach Resort Town," beating out no less than three Florida cities (Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and Key West).
"Readers are helping each other
find the best experiences where they live and travel. This is another
way in which GayCities is helping people connect to each other and share
their best experiences," said Scott Gatz, CEO of GayCities, in the press release.
Will S.F. continue its reign in 2013? Time will tell, but until then, enjoy yet another beautiful day in the gayborhood.
