Do This Tonight: Cyclocross Mud Race to an Art Show
The races are typically held in closed courses, for a high-energy and fast-paced suffer fest. Tonight the race will be held in the streets, and on the dirt, as racers navigate the hidden, narrow single-track trails of Golden Gate Park and the Presidio as they race to the opening of All Chips on the Table, an exhibition of works by Specialized's graphic designer Garrett Chow.
The final checkpoint of the race is at the Rapha Cycle Club in the Marina, one of San Francisco's premiere locales for high-end cycling goods and bicycle culture. The reception for All Chips on the Table begins at 7 p.m., but get there early if you want to catch the mud-covered racers coming in. The show will run through the holiday season, so stop by if you're interested in seeing a unique perspective of design and cycling aesthetics.
