Last night was a big success for liberals in our country, and not just for Big Bird fans and recreational pot users. Wisconsin got its first openly gay Senator, Tammy Baldwin; voters approved gay marriage (for the first time!) in Maine and Maryland, and Washington's referendum is likely to pass as well; similarly, an anti-gay amendment was defeated in Minnesota. New Hampshire became the first state to have an all-female Capitol delegation, and oh right -- Obama is in the White House for four more years. But let's talk about what really matters here: What celebrities are saying on social media.
We combed the Interwebz to bring you the most amusing, baffling, and entertaining election-related tidbits from those we've never met but are dear to our hearts.

Just when we thought we couldn't possibly love Beyonce more than we do, she goes and posts this to her Instagram account, right after Obama's reelection was announced:We humbly bow before ye, oh Queen of the Beyhive.
But wait! What's that we hear? It can't be a victory song by Mariah Carey, can it? Oh yeah, she went there.
Not everyone was happy about the election outcome, however. Donald Trump used the opportunity to post a picture of his comb-over (which starts at the base of his neck?):

Then he got in a pissing match with NBC's news anchor Brian Williams:
Brian, if I'm "well past the last exit to relevance" how come you spent so much time reading my tweets last night? @nbcnightlynews
-- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 7, 2012
And ended with a call for more global warming:
It's freezing and snowing in New York--we need global warming!

Stephen Baldwin, whom we somehow never noticed had the words "Jesus Freak" in his Twitter bio, unsurprisingly turned biblical:
2nite Gods Spirit lifted within me&joy came over me, I will serve the Lord, my hope is in Jesus not Obama,Gods wrath is upon US. 2Thes2:11

Justin Bieber took the safe approach with his "Im Canadian" tweet, and then unapologetically bragged about Canada's free healthcare. AS IF YOU NEED THE MONEY, BIEBS.
alot of emotions right now. congrats President Obama...Im Canadian. Im good. #FreeHealthcare :)

Former SNL star and avid tea party member Victoria Jackson had something of a meltdown, and took to the tweets to hate on Christians, "Thanks a lot Christians for not showing up. You disgust me." And bemoaned the death of our country with this:
I can't stop crying.America died.
-- Victoria Jackson (@vicjackshow) November 7, 2012
Don't cry, Victoria! We'll bury America right next to your career.
But back to saner news, how cute is Lady Gaga? TOO CUTE.
| "we just couldn't be happier my goodness, the joy when freedom prevails" |
Rashida Jones brought us back to what truly matters:
And then Steve Martin had to go and out-clever 'em all with this:If the election was decided on close up shots of people at campaign HQs, it would be a landslide. Dems are killing it with the dance moves.
-- Rashida Jones (@iamrashidajones) November 7, 2012
To commemorate Obama's victory, I'm having a tea party.
-- Steve Martin (@SteveMartinToGo) November 7, 2012
Okay, we can't resist one more crazy one. This is from Scott Baio's wife, whose tweets are protected, probably due to the whole debacle where she called Jezebel writers "cunty lesbian shitasses." But this is pure speculation on our parts.

Lady Liberty is crying, and so is the statue responsible for mildly incoherent sentence fragments.
There's your daily dose of cultural relevance, folks. America! Land of the free, home of the social media-crazed.
