Video of the Day: Before Charlie Brown Discovered Pot

Last week, in our preview for the Boxcar's production of Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, we revealed that a teenage version of Linus van Pelt, from Charles Schulz' beloved Peanuts comic, takes the ashes of the blue blanket his younger self was famously attached to and smokes 'em with some herb.

If you'd rather preserve the kids in their less-destructive youth, here's the official trailer for the 2011 Peanuts television special Happiness Is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown. It is the first special without the direct involvement of Schulz, but the producers preserved the early 1960s animation style and used only the characters from that period.

Dog Sees God runs at the Boxcar through August 25th.
