Celebrate the Premiere of Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell
![]() |
Who is W. Kamau Bell? San Francisco is way ahead of you, rest of the world!
Since news of the TV series broke last spring, the San Francisco and national comedy scene have been paying close attention to the developments. Kamau, who was also the creator of the popular W. Kamau Bell Curve live show in San Francisco, has brought along fellow Laughter Against the Machine comedians Nato Green and Janine Brito, as well as San Francisco comic Kevin Avery, as writers on the show. The weekly series will feature Kamau dissecting the social, political, and pop culture happenings of the week, with a dose of the humor Exhibitionist readers and S.F. comedy fans already know well.
To celebrate their comrades, San Francisco's finest are hosting a special screening at the Dark Room Thursday the 9th. The Premiere Bash begins at 10:20 p.m. with live performances by The Business comedians Sean Keane, Caitlin Gill, and Chris Garcia, followed by the Totally Biased premiere, which airs at 11 p.m. This event is hosted by Keane and Becca Rufer. Admission is $5, and doors open at 10 p.m.
If you want to support Kamau and the Totally Biased crew (even if you can't make it to the Premiere Bash), he suggests that you tell everyone you know via email and social networks, host a premiere party of your own, and, of course, tune in to FX Thursdays at 11 p.m. EST/PST (10 p.m. CST), right after Louie.
If you're in New York City, you can nab free tickets for tomorrow's and future live tapings of the show here.
