What did you do last night? Maybe you joined us for Artopia, the party to announce and celebrate the winners of our Masterminds Awards. (Masterminds is SF Weekly's annual competition that gives local, up-and-coming artists the opportunity to fund their creativity with cash grants.)

Gallery-goers swarmed both floors of Public Works, taking in the finalists' artwork, sampling wine and tequila, and painting one of several collaborative artworks. The fete inspired many to dig into their closets for dressier attire than I usually see on the street -- a welcome change that I was happy to document. Click through to check out a sampling of the attendees.

This gang's classy yet understated attire fit right in at Public Works. The classic colors and preppy pieces are complemented by funky details, like those highlighter yellow heels or toggled boots. These ladies are quite well versed in style; one of them specializes in fashion illustration.
