Aziz Ansari Plans July S.F. Visit on Buried Alive Tour

Comedian and actor Aziz Ansari promises "an evening of bewilderment and disillusion" in his Buried Alive Tour, which plans a stop at San Francisco's Nob Hill Masonic Auditorium on July 20. Ticket sales officially start at 10 a.m. Friday (March 2), and Ansari's rockstar-like status makes it possible that the show -- as well as a July 19 performance in San Jose -- will sell out quickly.

If you're a super-fan and want an early shot, you can try to score some presale tickets at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 29) through Ansari's website.

Ansari's star has risen in recent years, putting him in an effortless yet surreal orbit with icons of the music, film, and television worlds. So his stand-up material has increasingly more fertile territory to mine. He's never had to make anything up, and now he can't really make this stuff up. To get in the mood for the visit from the Parks and Recreation star, revisit our speed date we had with Ansari in San Francisco last summer.

Not funny but he's POC so there's a builtin audience.
