SF Weekly Web Awards Party 2011: Pictures and Winners
We got our weekend off to a great start on Friday, September 9, with the SF Weekly Web Awards party at 111 Minna. Bloggers, app makers, Twitter addicts, and all kinds of people who have "social media" in their job title rubbed shoulders, enjoying some adult beverages, fair trade vodka, Bacon Bacon delicacies, and tasty treats from Heartbakers. Check out our full slideshow of the SF Weekly Web Awards here.
Also, whoever stole Brian Wilson's plaque for Best Media Personality Twitter: nicely done. Also: give it back.
The Reader's Choice Winners, and a full list of winners and nominees after the jump.
Once the party got underway, we announced the winners of our Reader's Choice Awards, which were picked thanks to thousands of votes of SF Weekly readers. They were:
Wild Card: Nominate Anyone for Anything
Winner: Ben Parr: Coolest social media geek
Runner Up: Before Now: Best feature at the Ocean Beach Bulletin
Runner Up: Necessary Conversation: Best webshow
Congrats to everyone who was nominated, and our sincere thanks to our judges, sponsors, and everyone else who made this possible. You can check out a full gallery of pics from the party, as well some nifty slides announcing all the winners (which, we should say, winners should feel free to grab and use on their own sites). See you all next year!
