Street Fashion of the Academy of Sciences' "Nightlife"

​ By Michelle Tea Being at the Academy of Sciences after hours for their Thursday night "Nightlife" series feels sneaky and exciting, like From the Mixed-up Files of Mrs. Basil E Frankweiler. Haven't you spent your whole life longing to be locked up in a Museum overnight? This is as close as you are going to get. Thursday nights at the Academy are the best because A. No children, B. Only $12 C. People are getting drunk and dancing in the Aquarium. And, of course D. - When else would you actually dress up to go look at taxidermied animals and Bolivian frogs and whatnot?

​Does Monsieur have the Gaul to dress like this on the daily, or was it special for the cheese-themed program on May 26th? Uncertain, but just as cheese is enjoyed outside of France, so should berets, red scarves, Gallic stripes and a smart jacket.
